I am teaching myself to code. Like all the traditional languages I have tried to learn, I do this in fits and starts, which is the worst way to learn a language. Hence I am not fluent in Latin, Italian, French or Spanish.

However, I like to be online and I am the perfect candidate for the gamification of learning to code, so I am currently working through Code Academy’s tutorials. This is a win-win for me. I see how the gamification of learning works, get understand Code Academy’s approach to it and increase my code skills. So far I’m learning Web Fundamentals and Javascript. Code Acadamy’s interface is intuitive and I have enjoyed the tutorials so far.  It’s been good to start at the beginning and build on previous attempts at coding. And already I’m better at the sites I am keeping up.
